Arthur Miller’s play, The Crucible, set in 1692, is based on the historical events surrounding the witch trials in Salem. This essay deals with the failure of the justice system in Salem, Massachusetts. Justice is meant to be based on the inherent principle that everybody is innocent until proven guilty and those found guilty having to be made to pay for their crimes. in developing responsible drainage programs. The first foreign assignments for
drainage staff were in Pakistan, India, Thailand, Peru, Egypt, Taiwan, Sri Lanka

assignments to Spain, Turkey, Australia, and other countries. Assignments to the
African continent began when African nations gained independence from colonial

occurred during the 1970s, when we were involved in drainage and ground water
activities throughout the developing world—South America, Africa, and Asia.
